Lipo Shots in Miami, FL

Which lipo shot do you mean?
“If I can pinch it, I can dissolve it.”
Iani Silveira
Search for lipo shots and you get two things mixed together. One is a fat-dissolving injection: deoxycholic acid, placed directly into a small pocket of fat, which destroys the fat cells there. The other is a lipotropic shot, usually called Lipo MIC or a B12 shot, a vitamin and amino acid injection that supports how your body processes fat. Bella Vida offers both, and they do very different jobs.
If you have a specific bulge you can pinch, under the chin, an arm, a flank, the fat-dissolving injection is the one to read about first. If you are on a weight loss plan and want an energy and metabolism boost alongside it, skip down to the Lipo MIC shot. If you are not sure, say so at the consultation and Iani will tell you which one fits, or whether either does.
Fat-dissolving injections: deoxycholic acid
Deoxycholic acid is a bile acid. Your body makes it to break down the fat you eat. Injected into a pocket of fat, it breaks open the fat cells there and your body clears the debris over the following weeks. The cells that are destroyed do not grow back. The ones next to them still can, so a treated area holds its shape as long as your weight does.
The injection was first used for the fat under the chin, and that is still the most common request. Iani also treats other small, pinchable areas, one at a time:
- Under the chin, for a sharper profile and jawline
- The armpit fold
- Upper arms
- Flanks
- Thighs
It is for pockets, not for pounds. A double chin, an arm that will not tighten, the piece of lower belly that survives every diet. If you want to change a whole area rather than one pocket, ultrasonic cavitation or a combined plan usually makes more sense, and Iani will say so.
One thing worth asking any injector, here or anywhere: which product is in the syringe, and what it is approved for. Iani will tell you. The FDA has warned that fat-dissolving injections that are not FDA approved can cause harm, and the difference between a product bought online and a treatment from a nurse practitioner in a medical office is the whole point.

Lipo MIC shots: the lipotropic lipo shot
This is the other lipo shot, and it is the one most people mean when they search the phrase. MIC stands for methionine, inositol and choline, three compounds involved in how the liver moves and burns fat. Ours is on the menu as Lipo MIC / Slim Boost, $45. B12 is on the same menu at $45 if you want the energy side as well, and both can be added to an IV drip visit or booked on their own.
Be clear about what it does. It does not dissolve fat and it will not change a pocket you can pinch. It is a supplement to a plan: for someone who is already eating differently and moving more, it supports metabolism and energy so the plan is easier to keep. On its own, without the plan, it is a $45 vitamin shot.
The shot itself takes a couple of minutes. Iani sets the interval at your first visit based on what you are doing and, if she runs labs, what they show. You must be over 18 for either treatment.
What a fat-dissolving visit is like
It starts with a consultation, sometimes on the same day. Iani looks at the area, pinches it, and tells you whether it will respond and roughly how many rounds it needs. Most people need more than one session per area, spaced out so your body can clear the last round before the next one goes in.
Two days before and two days after, skip alcohol, caffeine, niacin supplements and cigarettes. On the day, she cleans the area, marks it, and places a series of small injections across the pocket. Most patients find it close to painless. You leave with a cold pack and written aftercare.
Expect the area to swell and feel firm for a while afterwards. That is the fat being broken down, not a problem, and it settles as your body clears it. The result shows up gradually as the swelling goes, and because destroyed cells do not return, what you get, you keep.
Injected by Iani Silveira, MSN, FNP-BC
Iani is a family nurse practitioner, the founder of Bella Vida, and the injector who created and patented the Bella Vida Instant BBL. She consults for Merz Aesthetics on Radiesse and trains other injectors at the Bella Vida Training Institute. Body sculpting is the thing she is known for, and fat-dissolving injections are the small-area end of that work: the same eye for proportion, applied to a chin or a flank rather than a whole silhouette.
Bella Vida is at 151 SE 1st St Ph 05, Downtown Miami. Call (786) 338-8346 or book online, and if you still do not know which lipo shot you want, book the consultation and say so.
Lipo shots in Miami: questions people ask
Do lipo shots work?
The fat-dissolving injection works on the pocket it is placed in, and the cells it destroys do not come back. The Lipo MIC shot works as a support to a diet and exercise plan, and does nothing measurable without one.
Are lipo shots safe?
In a medical office, with a known product and a trained injector, yes. Swelling and tenderness in the treated area are expected. The FDA warning you may have seen is about unapproved fat-dissolving products injected outside medical settings.
How many sessions will I need?
Usually more than one per area for the fat-dissolving injection. Iani gives you an estimate at the consultation once she has seen the area.
What is the difference between lipo shots and liposuction?
Liposuction is surgery that removes fat through a cannula. Lipo shots are injections: smaller, targeted changes with no operation and no surgical recovery.
Can I get the B12 or Lipo MIC shot with an IV drip?
Yes. Both are $45 add-ons on the IV therapy menu, and you can also book them on their own.
