What the Aerolase Neo Elite® actually is
Most people come in for one of four things: acne that keeps coming back, redness or rosacea, dark spots and uneven pigment, or texture and fine lines that make skin look tired. The Neo Elite treats all four, which is unusual for a single device, and it does it without the downtime most people associate with lasers.
The reason is the pulse. The Neo Elite delivers its energy in 650-microsecond pulses, shorter than the time it takes the surrounding skin to heat up. The energy is absorbed by three targets, hemoglobin in blood vessels, melanin in pigment and water in the tissue, and the skin around them is left alone. That is why it can be used at any depth, on the face, neck and chest, and on deep skin tones where many lasers cannot be used safely.
