Art and creativity are a way of life for Brigitte Martinez, RN, BSN. Not only can she enliven a blank canvas with a cascade of colors to create a beautiful work of art, but she’s also aspiring to inject beauty into the world using a somewhat different medium. By interchanging her paintbrushes for syringes and switching from canvases to faces, Brigitte aims to produce gorgeous aesthetic results for our Bella Vida beauties.

She had been interning at Bella Vida Aesthetics & Wellness since day one under the wing of founder and friend, Iani Silveira. Through her current rigorous study schedule and Iani’s mentorship, Brigitte is on the fast track to becoming a nurse practitioner and expert injector herself. In the meantime, she currently serves as concierge support to ensure our clients have the best possible experience.

Brigitte first met Iani in 2015 and the pair quickly grew as friends thanks to similar goals and aspirations in aesthetics. At that time, however, Brigitte was in a very different role. With her finance degree from Florida State University, Brigitte had a flourishing career at Raymond James Financial. Though that was quite the separate life from aesthetics, she always had a strong inclination for another direction, which she developed at an early age.

“I’ve always been an artist,” Brigitte said. “Ever since I was a little girl, I loved to paint and draw, anything creative and artistic. I was actually doing that as a second job while working in finance. Art has just always been my passion.”

Brigitte was still able to somewhat nurture her passion for art while at Raymond James thanks to the company hosting an annual employee art competition. Brigitte won two out of three years she submitted.

“Even in the finance world, art still found me,” Brigitte chuckled.

After six years in finance, Brigitte could no longer deny she needed more out of life. She eventually went with her gut and quit corporate America to concentrate all her efforts in forging a career more in line with her true passion – art. She worked as a freelance artist for a couple of years, dabbling in interior design, custom canvases, even apparel design. But things soon changed with the onset of the pandemic, and Brigitte reached out to her good friend, Iani, to ask her thoughts on a new artistic outlet – injecting. Iani was more than enthusiastic about Brigitte making a great injector, citing her innate artistic ability.

“She absolutely loved the idea and said my background would make me a great injector,” Brigitte said. “The thing is, my whole life I’ve been painting women’s faces…lips, lashes, cheekbones. Now it’s kind of like a transition from paintbrushes on a canvas to needles instead."

“Everybody’s anatomy is different,” Brigitte explains. “What works for one person’s face is going to be different when injected into someone else’s face. It’s so fascinating.”

Brigitte’s artistic background easily sets the stage for a promising career in aesthetics.

“I’m very excited about transferring my artistic eye and skillset into aesthetics and injecting,” she said. “I love this field and am very happy my journey brought me here.”

In her free time, Brigitte loves working out, spending time with friends and family, playing with her dog, Dolce, and, of course, painting. You’ll even find several of her impressive works hanging at the office when you come for your visit.
